RNIM: Research Network on International Migration
We are pleased to announce the creation of the first wide regional multidisciplinary Research Network on international Migration. The Aim of RNIM is to contribute to strength and promotes research in Arab States, Azerbaijan, Iran, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan on different aspects of international migration, including the development and dissemination of original migration datasets, analysis of the causes and consequences of international migration, impact of Diaspora on origin countries, female migration, racism, negative attitudes towards immigrants and immigration, Islamophobia, Discriminations.

The Center for Comparative Immigration Studies at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) is a leading international research center studying the challenges and opportunities created by migration throughout the world.The CCIS research agenda focuses on Mexican migration to California and comparative, cross-national and cross-regional research on international migratory movements, immigration policy, and citizenship policy. CCIS is specializing in international migration from a broad geographical as well as interdisciplinary perspective, devoting substantial attention to migrant-sending and receiving countries in North America, Europe, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region.

Institute for the Study of International Migration at Georgetown University focuses on all aspects of international migration, including the causes of and potential responses to population movements, immigration and refugee law and policy, comparative migration studies, the integration of immigrants into their host societies, and the effects of international migration on social, economic, demographic, foreign policy and national security concerns. ISIM also studies internal displacement, with particular attention to the forced movements of people for reasons that would make them refugees if they crossed an international border.

The aim of IMER Bergen is to contribute to research-based knowledge about international migration, not least related to European countries, including the consequences of immigration and emigration for societies. IMER Bergen started as a unit at the University of Bergen in 1996, and has since then been an important contributor, both nationally and internationally, to the IMER research field.
